Thomas A. Hodgin
President / RME
Thomas A. Hodgin serves as the President and Responsible Managing Employee (RME) of Ironcore Construction LLC, overseeing all operations, including quality control and assurance policies. With over 30 years of experience in the architectural and construction industries, Mr. Hodgin is trained as an architect and is also a licensed General Contractor.
Prior to joining Ironcore, Mr. Hodgin managed and commissioned projects across all phases of development, with a strong background in multi-family low-income affordable housing. Most recently, as the Senior Director of Construction/RME at Jamboree Housing Corporation, he oversaw pre-construction and construction for more than 30 projects valued at over $900 million. Previously, he was the Owner and President of the Design and Entitlement division of Palm Communities, a leading affordable housing developer, where he managed all facets of development for affordable multifamily and mixed-use projects, successfully entitling, designing, bidding, and constructing over 20 projects.
In addition to his development experience and general contractor’s license, Mr. Hodgin is in the process of becoming a licensed architect and a Certified Access Specialist (CASP). He holds a technical degree in architecture from the Phoenix Institute of Technology and a business degree from the University of Phoenix.
Aaron Rafelle
VP Field Operations
Aaron serves as the VP of Field Operations for Ironcore where he oversees all aspects of our field operations, ensuring we continue to uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency across every job site. With over 35 years of experience in construction leadership, field operations, and project execution. Mr. Rafelle’s track record of driving operational excellence, fostering strong team cultures, and delivering complex projects on time and on budget makes him a fantastic addition to our team leadership. He’s passionate about empowering teams, streamlining processes, and building lasting client relationships.
John Baxter
Director, Pre-Construction
John serves as the Director of Pre-Construction for Ironcore where he’s responsible for providing estimates in design build and design-bid build. Previously, he worked on federal sector projects for Herman Construction Group as a Sr. Estimator/Design Manager for 3 years where he coordinated with architects and engineers to maintain budgets in design build projects. He was also responsible for ensuring full project scope was covered in entirety for all trades. Prior to Herman Construction, Mr. Baxter served as Chief Estimator in the private sector for MCC, Inc. for 3 years where he was responsible for all estimating and preconstruction oversight. Additionally, he maintained relationships with developers and architects as well as leading strategic planning in target markets. Mr. Baxter also has a background as a civil estimator/project manager for grading and underground utility projects in both private and public sectors. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration-Management from San Diego State University, as well as an A.S. in Business Administration from Grossmont College.
Allan Shive
Construction Scheduling Manager
Allan, our Construction Scheduling Manager, has over 16 years of experience in the construction industry, starting his career as a Mason and advancing to roles such as GC Superintendent before specializing in project scheduling. His hands-on background gives him a unique perspective on managing timelines and resources effectively. Mr. Shive thrives in high-paced, solution-driven environments and values collaboration to achieve project success. His extensive field experience combined with scheduling expertise ensures projects stay on track and meet client expectations.
Anthony (Tony) Baxley
Senior Project Manager, Northern California
Anthony (Tony) Baxley serves as a seasoned Senior Project Manager at Ironcore Construction, bringing over a decade of experience managing complex, large-scale projects across California. His expertise spans multifamily residential developments, critical operations facilities, and high-profile sports arenas.
Tony began his career as a Project Engineer on landmark projects such as Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara and the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, where he managed structural trades and coordinated design-build execution for specialized scopes. He later advanced into project leadership roles, overseeing major developments including the Willow View Apartments in Bay Point – a 172-unit affordable housing community that earned Project of the Year in 2021 – and the ongoing 38 Degrees North Apartments in Santa Rosa, a $65 million, 210-unit multifamily project featuring extensive civil work and a protected green zone. Throughout his career, Tony has demonstrated exceptional skills in schedule and cash flow management, consultant coordination, and team leadership. His portfolio reflects a commitment to delivering projects on time and under budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Dani Tiffany-Schaefer
Senior Project Manager, Southern California
Dani Tiffany-Schaefer serves as an experienced Senior Project Manager at Ironcore Construction, with over 30 years of experience in the Construction industry. Her portfolio of project types includes ground up commercial spaces, hotels, family entertainment centers, and multi-family communities.
Mrs. Tiffany-Schafer began her career in Arizona, building a wide variety ground up projects, including work on sovereign nation land; however, found a passion for the multifamily sector and has been involved in several upscale projects such as SOHO Live/Work/Play in Scottsdale, AZ, Rosedale Residence in Phoenix, AZ. Before joining the Ironcore Construction team, Mrs. Tiffany-Schaefer was the lead Project Manager for a $112 million - 480-unit community in Chula Vista. This 15-acre site included (4) four-story buildings and (4) three-story buildings, all wood-framed and slab-on-grade. She led all onsite Project Management operational activities.
